Is the stone real?
Natural amethyst, not glass and not cubic zirconia. Amethyst is violet quartz, Mohs 7, and it reads the same violet in daylight or lamplight. Keep it out of prolonged strong sun, as some amethyst will lighten. If you want to know whether a specific piece's stone has been treated, write to us and we'll tell you.
What if the size is wrong?
Exchange it within 30 days, with no restocking fee. Return shipping is yours. Ring listings carry a size guide, and if you are between sizes, write to us before you order rather than after.
Does sterling silver tarnish?
Yes, and that is normal. Tarnish is a surface reaction between silver and the air. It comes off with a polishing cloth and it comes back — that is maintenance, and it happens to every solid silver piece ever made. What it is not is plating wearing through, which does not come back because there is nothing underneath but base metal.
When will it arrive?
