PEARL PLEASURES
Pearls are the original jewel—symbols of elegance and grace.
I work with a range of pearls: freshwater for artsy designs, cultured for modern styles, and South Sea and Black Tahitian for timeless classics.
For those unfamiliar with freshwater pearls: they begin when a small piece of seashell is shaped and placed inside an oyster. Over time, the oyster coats it with natural nacre, creating a lustrous pearl. While man may guide the shape, nature determines the unique finish—sometimes after years of growth.
Due to pollution and warming seas, certain pearl shapes and sizes are becoming rare, driving prices higher to balance beauty and accessibility.
